You might have already noticed, but The Fake Boyfriend got a bit of a surprise makeover last month.
I’ve been working on re-editing the Men of Café Seuil series to prepare for a future bind-up of Books 1 – 3, and when I went to publish the revised version of The Fake Boyfriend last month, I got a notification that the original cover is now considered too spicy for the regular romance category on a couple of the retailers. Whoops! 😳
The only way to keep the original cover was to classify the book as “erotica” and I think we can all agree it’s not that spicy. 😅 So in order to get it back in the regular “romance” category, I had to give it a bit of a makeover…
I’ve been thinking of these as “Liam’s cover” and “Nate’s cover”. What do you think?? I have to admit I’m a little partial to the old one, but it is a little spicy, isn’t it? 🤭
The cover should be updated across all retailers now, but I’m also considering offering a way to get the old cover version if there’s interest.
Let me know below – which cover do you like better? “Liam’s cover” (the original) or “Nate’s cover” (the new one)?
